Stay
Below you may find some accommodation options available in the direct vicinity of the wedding venue in Modra, Slovakia. As we have heard that availability is already limited in these hotels, please note that there are several apartments available via Booking.com or AirBnb.
We are also more than happy to connect you with other guests in case you wish to put together a larger group for a rental.
Alternatively, there are many accommodation options in Bratislava.
Please let us know your plans in case we can assist you with your evening return to your accommodation. Pending enough interest, we will be organising transport back to Bratislava city center in the evening.
Travel
For those travelling to Slovakia from abroad, please see below some additional details to help you organise your visit.
Flying in
If you're flying in, there are two airports to choose from. Bratislava Airport is closer, though has a limited amount of flights. Vienna International Airport offers more flight options, with a slightly longer, but still convenient connection to Slovakia.
Bratislava airport → Bratislava City
If you wish to use public transport, bus 61 will provide you with the most direct connection from the airport to the city center.
Vienna airport → Bratislava City
There's a convenient bus route from Vienna airport to the center of Bratislava, with the journey taking around 45-50 minutes.
The buses depart from right in front of the arrival hall. There are three companies running these—Slovak Lines, Flixbus, and RegioJet. It's best to see the departure board next to the bus stops, with departures every 30-40 minutes.
You can usually buy tickets directly from the driver (approx. 10 - 15 € per person).
Vienna airport → Vienna City
There are two convenient trains that take you from the airport the the center of Vienna.
The best option is the S-Bahn S7 (train) which goes every 30 minutes. There is also the City Airport Train (CAT) which also goes every 30 minutes, but is lot more expensive.
Alternatively there are Intercity trains that go from the airport to the main train station. For those, see online schedule.
Vienna City → Bratislava
Trains go from the main train station (Hauptbahnhof) to two stations in Bratislava. The ride takes around one hour.
There is a return ticket for 19 € that allows you to take your return journey within 5 days.
In case you come across any issues when organising your stay and travel (e.g. problems with language barriers etc.), just let us know!

FAQs
How/by when do I RSVP?
To confirm your attendance, please send us an email at SophieAndRado@gmail.com.
Please include details such as dietary requirements, and whether you would be interested in potential transport to the venue from Bratislava city center, and/or back to Bratislava in the evening.
The deadline for RSVPs is on June 19th, 2026.
Are the wedding ceremony/reception taking place in the same venue?
Both the ceremony and reception will take place at the Neco Estate Winery in Modra.
What is the dress code?
The dress code is semi-formal/cocktail (i.e. your tuxedo can stay at home!).
Can I bring my dog?
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed at the venue. An exception has been made for our dog Roo however, who will be around throughout the day.
Will there be vegetarian/gluten free options?
The entire dinner menu will be vegan, with gluten free options also available upon request.
What gift should I bring?
If you’re wondering what to give us, we would of course appreciate cash gifts as a young family. However, if you have something else in mind, we are happy for anything you might want to give us.
If your circumstances mean it would be difficult for you to gift anything on this occasion, please do not stress, your presence is perfectly enough.
What language will the ceremony be held in?
As the wedding is taking place in Slovakia, and Sophie’s understanding of the language (and ability to say “Áno”) is sufficient, the ceremony will be held solely in Slovak. The proceedings will be very quick, so we ask our non-Slavic guests to please bear with us, while our Polish guests have a good chuckle.
Where can I find wedding photos ?
As soon as this is available, a link to the digital wedding album will be sent out by email to all those who have RSVP’d.
